Mabon is...
Balance
a Celtic festival of the autumnal equinox, when the length of day and night are equal. It is a reminder of the duality inherent in life: light and dark, growth and decay. Mabon invites us to embrace this balance within ourselves.
Gratitude
a time to celebrate the harvest of abundance around us and within us. We acknowledge the dedication and hard work that have cultivated our own personal harvests - the accomplishments, growth, and lessons learned throughout the year.
Reflection
a time to pause our daily lives and reflect. Just as the fields are harvested, Mabon encourages us to examine our inner harvest. What seeds of intention were planted earlier in the year? What has come to fruition? What lessons have been learned?
Your Invitation
Join us as we gather in sisterhood to honor the Autumn Equinox and celebrate the sacred balance of Mabon. This special event invites you to connect deeply with yourself, nature, and the ancient wisdom of the Celtic tradition.
What to Expect:
- Circle of Connection: We will begin by creating a sacred space and sharing with other women on a similar journey of self-discovery and empowerment.
- Nature's Mirror: Immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world as we explore its reflections within ourselves. Tap into the wisdom of the changing seasons and find balance within.
- Celtic Myths and Archetypes: Delve into the rich tapestry of Celtic mythology, uncovering powerful archetypes and their relevance to our own lives. Discover the strength, resilience, and wisdom within you.
- Fire Ceremony: As the sun sets, we will gather around a sacred fire for a transformative ceremony. Release what no longer serves you and set powerful intentions for the coming season.
- Gratitude Circle: Culminate our celebration with a heartfelt sharing of gratitude for all aspects of life - both light and dark - as a reflection of the harvest during this balance point of the year.
What to Bring:
- A journal and pen for reflection
- Kansas weather-appropriate clothes to be outside
- An open heart and willingness to connect
- Tea, coffee, and light snacks will be served
